MY NURSING JOURNEY..

I am a Registered Nurse, I love every second of my career, it is stressful, always changing, demanding, but most of all rewarding when you see the smiles on peoples faces or hear the words "thanks you are so kind, you really do care, I have never met somebody that cared enough to take the time or just a simple THANKS."

Here is how I became a nurse minus the obvious a degree. I started my nursing studies back in highschool with a program called post secondary. The Community College I was attending had a waiting list for their nursing program so I continued at Lakeland and got my associates in Sociology and Psychology.

When I was done with those there was still a wait so My best friend and I did a Dental Assisting program and I worked for a Dental Office in Richmond Heights I really enjoyed my job. I worked there for about 5 years.

To make this long story short I had gotten married, bought a house, and had another baby so Nursing school was put on hold. When I was pregnant with Callie I was put on bed rest so I left the dental field and after Callie was born I thought what better time to go back I hadn't been working so I knew financially we could make it work. My pre-reqs were all done so I just had the program classes to do, so after a long, hard, EXHAUSTING two years of  OUR lives. The day I thought would never come GRADUATION DAY!
COULDN'T OF DONE IT WITH OUT MY SUPPORT SYSTEM!

RIP GRANDPA :(
I KNOW YOU WERE SO PROUD OF ME!
